This course intends to build up professional English skills you need in an English speaking country or in an international work environment. Topics range from business to economics and globalization. Business English levels range from upper beginner to advanced.

Philosophy
Only Advanced (German or English)
This course is an advanced course and can be taught in English or in German. The students can choose the lesson topic and should prepare the topic by themselves. In class, the topic should be introduced and then discussed. Ideally, the students hold a little presentation at the beginning of the lesson. Any topic can be requested that is part of (European) philosophy.
There are two targets in this course. One is to learn how to deal with difficult topics such as philosophy and practice how to make good, valid arguments and how to participate actively in a discussion. The other is to practice and understand philosophy. Philosophy is an academic study and theory of knowledge that has nothing to do with personal beliefs, esotericism and spiritualism, but is as “hard” as the so-called empirical sciences.
